On IQ and Potential

Is there really such a thing as an IQ? Some people display a greater amount of skill in specific areas of mental capacity, but does this really constitue to greater 'intelligence'? Who decides what is intelligent, and for what reason? What is intelligent to one appears like stupidity to another. Our perception of another's mental capacities depends purely on our own philosophy. How we perceive others 'intelligence' has nothing to do with their mental aptitude. And here is another point: Why is intelligence so commonly equated to mental capacity in the first place? Are we really thinking that our ability to live effectively derives from our minds?

Common perceptions define our intelligence very much along the lines of our logical and analytical abilities. I'm not disputing that those have their place, but there is more to us than that. If you asked me, our intuition comes from a place which is so much more intelligent than our reasoning minds that it's not even a comparison. With the two working in perfect unison, we may operate at our truly highest potential. The intuition is of a very much feminine energy, but that does not equal female. Similarly, the reasoning abilities of the mind have a rather masculine vibe to them, which does not equate to male. Feminine and masculine refer to energy in various frequency states, while male and female describe physical attributes. Whatever our physical bodies may look like, we all have the ability to express both masculinity and femininity, which means that we also have the innate capability to experience ourselves as energetically whole and complete. Operating purely on inspiration with no action is no more useful than it would be to constantly take action with no inspiration. The key is in using both.

And when we operate in such a complete and whole manner, then we may start to use more of our true abilities. But these don't appear to be measured by many IQ tests. What is evaluated is not our spiritual intelligence and inspiration, and this is another reason why I'm not an advocate of thinking that IQ tests are an accurate indicator of our abilities. Intuitive urgings can sometimes take years to show themselves to as having been perfect, and this doesn't suit the strict measurement of intelligence on a given day, for a given test. It's as though you were planting seeds in the ground, and it was tested whether you had plants in your garden within an hour. They're there, but just haven't sprouted yet! Inspiration can be by far the most effective means of accomplishing things, but it often only shows in retrospect.

Besides for that, it all just depends on the sense of reality of whoever originated the IQ test. We all have more intelligence ready to be accessed than could possibly be expressed in words, and no one needs to take a test to prove that. All we need to do is to 'decode' it into our experience by shifting our state of being .

There is also this whole perception of how learned patterns have aanything to dow ith intelligence. If someone doesn't know what the capital of a certain country is, than that says nothing about their intelligence. Learning depends on conditioning, and that's not intelligence. If the person in question figured something out for themselves, than that's another thing, but pure repeating of something, with no understanding is something I certainly would not use as a measure of intelligence. So what is intelligence? Whatever you think it is.
