From Reaction to Attraction Book

How thought creates reality
(12.02.2008)

You may have heard of how our thoughts create our experience. In metaphysical circles, this is a commonly held notion. But how exactly does this process transpire? I will offer a summary of what I perceive to be the creation process, when employed from a conscious perspective.

Thoughts act like vortices, which means that they draw towards them what is in their likeness. This includes thoughts of a similar nature. So whenever we think a certain thought, it becomes easier to think it again. And with every repetition, it becomes easier- again and again. But this knowledge in and of itself doesn't yet include the keys to understanding the Law of Attraction.

What we need to understand is that thoughts in and of themselves don't yet hold the attracting power necessary to efficiently manifest something in our physical experience. This also includes visualization, or mental imagery, as it is also referred to. What adds this attraction power is feeling. When we think a thought and feel in alignment with it, then we open th doorway to an effective manifestation. Why may this be so? I would suggest that on one level the answer may be found in esoteric thought which states that we all have an 'aura' which consists of several other-dimensional bodies. The physical body is the 'densest' in terms of energy, and followed by the etheric, emotional and mental body. Our physical experience is the result of the other-dimensional influences in our aura.

How our physical world isn't the cause of our specific life circumstances is quite key to understand, I would suggest. So how does all of this relate to conscious creation? It does so in the manner I'm about to outline: Whenever we think a thought, it affects our mental body, and via that all other-dimensional bodies. When we feel emotion, it is very much related to our emotional body in the aura. Remember, the physical world is the effect of other-dimensional influences. When we think, and then feel strong emotion, we have created more of a 'bridge' for our thought to manifest the physical level. That's one way of looking at it at least.

The way in which this works is in how the 'aura' is energy which magnetically draws towards it that which is of a like nature. So if your aura is full of thoughts and emotions in alignment with having a certain thing, then you are exerting a lot of attraction power for the physical to show the corresponding the result.

Everything is energy, and so our aura will draw towards us that which is in harmony with our own energy. For more information on energy as it relates to the creation process, you may look at my essay entitled Energy and The Law of Attraction. What is key to understand though is that strong emotions tend to 'carry' thoughts through to their physical realization. This is also why it may be easier to manifest something which you feel truly passionate about. How those thoughts manifest depends to quite some extent on the individual's subconscious sense of reality, and the quality of the emotions which they have charged the thoughts with. We are what we consistently image ourselves as being down to a subconscious level. From this point of view the question of who we are takes on a new meaning. Have you ever thought about it?
