Manifestation and Determination
How motivation helps to focus (04.03.2008)
The more motivated we are the easier it is to achieve what we want. This is not an astronomically revealing statement, but why is this so? On an energetic level, we attract whatever is a mirror of our own sense of reality. That sense of reality always needs to be worded in the present tense, and so, from that perspective, it wouldn't make sense that desire is actually that important in the creative process. There are many things which our subconscious manifests in our lives on a consistent basis for which we don't need to feel any kind of greater desire anymore (at a conscious level at least).
We attract what is in line with our deepest state of being. So wouldn't desire for something draw towards us the experience of 'desiring', rather than having? It can, but the two magical ingredients which make desire vital to the conscious creation process are focus and a focus on feeling good in the present moment.
The first is just what it indicates: We tend to focus greatly on things which we really, really want. If something is your biggest dream in life, then it's probably rather easy to think of it and describe all the details of what you regarding your life. So desire can help enormously in terms of focus.
The second 'magical' ingredient is that of maybe slightly redefining the way we see desire. The desire which is meant is one which doesn't have an attachment to time or limited thinking (in some ways the same thing). You essentially want something, but you don't make a statement about whether it's there yet or not. You just desire in an enthusiastic way, with no attachment. This may often be referred to as an intention, but nowadays I like to just call it desire. It's just a desire, with nothing else attached to it. No thought of 'it is not there yet' or 'sometime in the future'. It's just a desire. It's perfectly possible to desire things which are already in our lives. We just want them to still be there. And in a similar way, we may just want to desire for the manifestation process.
When we desire something which we consider absolutely possible, then it has a tendency to make us feel good. And the more we want something, the more the contradicting thoughts of ours which may delay manifestations aren't present. So we may cite the key functions of desire as the following three: To help us concentrate on what we want, make sure that there is not much resistance, and to feel strongly about a manifestation. These are three of the key factors in creation, and so it becomes clear that the more strongly we want something, the quicker we can potentially manifest it. Fantastic, isn't it?
