From Reaction to Attraction Book

Self-Image

How we see ourselves has a fundamenal effect on our lives. It is not just about viewing differently that which is already the case. It's not just about reaction, but rather creation. Our world is just a mirror of ourselves, and so everything which occurs in our world is energetically 'coded' in our state of being. Our self-image can be of enormous help in another task though, namely that of taking decisive action regarding our dreams. This decisive and constructive action can be rather elusive when our self-image says that we procrastinate for example.

What if we just took on a mental image of self which states that we get things done whenever it is appropriate? It may appea as though this wasn't in alignment with being genuine, but there are a ewthings to explore there. For a start, we are simply not 'static' beings in our everyday state. We are ever-changing, irrespective of what it may appear like. The only thing which causes our lives to take on a sense of continuity is our consistent sense of reality, which is really just another version of our self-image. If we were to shift our sense of reality every moment, then our world would follow suit. Considering that we are everflowing energy, it means that we can experience ourselves as having any attitude we want to embody. All that's needed is for us to shift our self-image at a very deep level.

One thing which to be rather helpful regarding this is to remember the power of our feelings. Thoughts which have no corresponding feling attached to them haven't got much attraction power, and that is what's needed. After all, everything in our daily experience just consists of interconnected fields of energy resonating to different frequencies, and thus attracting each other. Thoughts are energy fields, and our attitudes to life are just a conglomeration of various energy fields. To attract what we want, we need to be what we want to be. This is what creates the energetic link, and so it follows that we need to feel about ourselves in line with already being someone who has an achievement attitude if we are to perform at our peak.

Our present attitudes may just be as 'regular' to us as they are only because we have repeatedly lived from the state of being of embodying precisely these behavioural patterns. To change them, we don't even need to focus on doing anything; we just need to change our default feelingstate regarding ourselves. This goes hand in hand with loving ourselves, although that is another subject altogether. What is the same subject though is to be the person we'd more like to be. It may be closer than you think. Just as close as your own self-image. When that changes, your world has a tendency to follow suit. How would our worlds change if we appreciated in an even more complete manner the true magnificence of our nature? What would our lives look like if we stopped looking at ourselves through the eyes of what others thought and discovered our own unique radiance? I leave that question with you.
