On spiritual growth and challenges
What occurs when we go through less than easy times in our lives? What I feel is happening most of the time is that when we first begin to open up to a greater awareness of reality, we increasingly align ourselves with a state of being of such a high vibrational energy that we come into contact with all kinds of exquisite new understanding. But at the same time, it also heralds a time where we are not in resonance with some of the elements of our 'old' life any more. At this point, that of our lives which is of the 'old', 'dense' vibration pretty much falls away from our experience. This may seem like a less than uplifting event in the experience, but is actually a brilliant opportunity; a process of being led to the very door of freedom.
When we see this in our lives, we may think of it as less than fortunate, even though it is quite likely the process of our soul unravelling to reveal what is truly at our core. And as this happens, the mirror presents itself in our lives, in the form of people, places and events which are a conduit for freedom, rather than its apparent opposite. It may look like turmoil, but can we not trust that the deeper levels of us know exactly what is best, given the greatest perspective? This is a perspective which is usually not accesible to our conscious levels of perception, and so things are not as they do seem.
"We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations", a quote attributed to Charles Swindoll, indicates the notion of freedom showing up in disguise. It does not truly matter whether it does so in that form, for no matter what freedom may appear like to us, it is still what it is. Maybe we would do well to trust in our own inherent ability to attract what is best for us when it may be really appropriate? Maybe there is a level of our being which is beyond social conditioning, forgetfulness and the like? Something which can only ever remain in its natural state as there is nothing of a similar energy to affect it with. Something which could not even have anything to affect it, as there is nothing else. A core energy at the very heart of existence. Can we not trust that this deepest level of us would only present to us what is best?
It may not appear so from the persepctive of our present life experience, but from the viewpoint of the cosmic game it could be brilliant beyond what we may ever comprehend with our minds. These think that there are things to be desired or avoided, which may or may not be the case in people's apparently individual lives, while not being the point here. That is found in an awareness of the true magnitude of life, which is neither comparable to that of our present experience, nor contemplatable by what has been unlocked in our imagination.
We consider our lives to be important, yet they are only one possible 'reality' of the unlimited field of possibilities we happen to find ourselves in. We have more than this planned; and irrespective of how magnificently precious we all are, all of our apparently individual incarnate lives are in and of themselves hardly comparable to the grand cosmic game. This is a mirror of the various events in our daily experience hardly comparing to the entire incarnation. Similarly, the many moments which constitute an hour will hardly compare to those 60 minutes. Our conscious understanding of the universe is nowhere within reach of what may sensibly be called complete, and this is reflected in how we tend to understand less than all about ourselves. Does it not all make sense? Our core energy is what the universe is constituted of after all. Why would this not show all along the way? You may expect it to, and if you look for the hidden blessings in every challenge, than you could also be rewarded with your very own gift of gratitude.
When you find it, you will notice that things are not as they may seem. What challenges us makes us grow, and opens a doorway which remained closed beforehand. Not in actuality, but in our perception. As we grow, we unfold more of our latent abilities to discover that we have only come so far because of the help from apparently less than ideal circumstances. More often than not, these conditions of our experience did not just happen; they were designed to awaken us to our true magnitude, by presenting us with a situation suitable to create an intention within us which does not only rearrange our experience, but elevates our state of being towards the sure knowledge of one thing: We are unlimited beings, with infinite possibilities ahead of us. Ultimately too big to be subdued by emotional challenges, too strong to fall to limited thinking, and exactly where we need to be to realize our true magnificence. Isn't it about time that we realized this?
Have a nice day,
Thomas
