The Subconscious and the Law of Attraction

Imagine that you are on a ship. This ship is sailing around the ocean, and travelling around the world. If you want to, you can also anchor the ship at a certain point and enjoy the view there for a while.

This is your life.

The ocean is the infinite energy mass within which all manifests, the ship represents your subconscious sense of reality, and the travels are shifts in that sense of reality. What you can achieve is determined by the parameters of your sense of reality. Setting intentions is great, but they will only manifest if your subconscious sense of reality allows them to manifest. If it doesn't, then the intentions will only go as far as your subconscious beliefs allow them to. To say it i another way, you could see your subconscious sense of reality as a computer program. You can do all kinds of wonderful things in that program, and achieve anything which is within the parameters of it, but as soon as you set an intention of doing something beyond the current program, then it doesn't work.

We are manifesting in infinite Possibility, but this only happens in accordance with our subconscious beliefs. If they support the manifestation of what we would really like in our lives, then it comes about easily and efficiently.

You could also imagine a table with items on it. The items will only stay on the table- if you attempted to move them beyond the table, they wouldn't float in mid-air (unless you live in a very different world than most of the population). The items on that table will only 'stay' on it to the extent to which the parameters, or boundaries of that table allow it. And so it is with our intentions. They will only stay in our lives to the extent to which our subconscious sense of reality allows it.

We can intend something for our lives, get into the feeling state of already having it, and then attract it. No question. But the point is that that only occurs when our subconscious sense of reality allows it. If it doesn't, then we've got some subconscious beliefs to examine.

These beliefs vary from person to person, but I would suggest that all of them are some expression of feeling 'not good enough' to have what you want in your life. The key thing when recognizing that subconscious belief is to remember that it is just a belief, and it can be changed. And when you do, the whole parameters of your reality shift, and so you can attract different things than you previously could.

Subconscious beliefs are just like an agreement to play life according to the rules of a certain game, rather than those of another. If you're playing tennis, then there are certain things you can do. If you step beyond the parameters of these rules, then you could get disqualified and lose the match (not complete your manifestation). If you wanted to hold the tennis ball with both your hands in mid-play, then that wouldn't be allowed according to the rules of that game. But if you played as a goalkeeper in football (or soccer), then you could do that. You've changed the rules of the game you're operating under, and this is key.

Have you noticed something else about these rules of the game, by the way? They determine the forming of your intentions. When you're serving in tennis, then you'll intend to get the ball right to the other side of the court, to where the other player is. But if you're a goalkeeper in football, then you'll want to pass it to someone from your own team. So the rules of the game determine your intentions, and so we have just uncovered a cycle which can repeat itself quite indefinitely.

Subconscious sense of reality> Intentions> Result> New or same subconscious sense of reality>Intentions>Result, repeat.

How do we transcend it? Via awareness. As with much else, we need to first of all be aware of it.
