You Are Not Your Conditioning
(07.03.2008)
Are you your body? Or your thoughts? How can this be so? Your body's cells constantly regenerate, and your thoughts change. Are you the thinker? Or the thought? Or both?
One subject which is quite central to effective conscious creation is to disidentify from conditioning to the extent of being able to look back and observe your thought patterns for what they are- thought patterns. They are thoughts about things, and not the things themselves. Concepts help us to identify things and to communicate information regarding them, but they are not the things themselves. A blueprint is not a house. It just indicates what the house is like. In other words, the way we think and feel about something is just one possible interpretation of the unlimited potential ones which are possible.
And it is really our interpretation of reality which is key to conscious creation. Because we live in the midst of infinity, everything which is unlike boundlessness is an illusion of some sorts. Illusions can be rather persistent in their appearance, but that doesn't make them anymore real.
When we're able to see our interpretation of reality for what it is- just one possible interpretation of reality, than it's a lot easier to free ourselves from limited thinking and conditioning.
We are not our habits, musical preferences, passions, achievements, age, body, or mind. We are of that which all originates from- the same infinite boundlessness within which this grand game of life is happening. And anything unlike that infinity is just a program. If truth expresses itself within our experience of the game of life, than that is not so much of a river appearing out of nowhere, but rather of a dam opening up so that we may notice the river which has been there all along. It's not as though truth has appeared, but rather a case of an opening in the program allowing us to see what has been there all along.
Anything which is unlike infinity is not our true nature. It may be closer to it, but as long as it's measured by limitation, rather than infinity, it's not the true us. And that's alright. There's a reason why we're in this experience of being physically incarnate. But it's just worth remembering that it's not our ultimate existence. It's just an expression of it. Like one page of a book....with unlimited pages. It's like a book which can be read as much as is possible while still always having the same amount of unobserved pages left.
The more we can observe ourselves and stop identifying with all the of the limiting conditioning, the more likely we are to be really good at manifesting. Which is what makes disidentification from conditioning rather important.
